The whole stack is free software, and our installer is under the AGPL-3.0 licence. Another provider can pick up where we stop.

They are made with restic, an open format.

Under a service agreement, a client subscribed for 12 months or more who cancels keeps full service for up to 3 months, at no charge, to finish migrating out.
Frequently asked questions
Where exactly is my data?
In OVHcloud’s data centre in Beauharnois, Quebec. OVHcloud is a French group; TSI, which runs the service, is a Canadian corporation. Each client has its own machine.
Does a US company have access to my files?
Neither the host nor the operator of your files and email is American. The only US provider in the chain is Stripe, for paying the self-serve subscription; it receives none of your files or email.
What if TSI disappears?
The whole stack is free software and our installer is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence: another provider, or your IT person, can take it over. Your backups are in an open format, restorable without us. Your data leaves with you, at no charge.
Do I keep Outlook?
Yes. Email works with Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail (IMAP), and the calendar with Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Calendar (CalDAV and CardDAV). On a phone, the device’s own Mail app is enough.
How long does the move take?
It depends on the volume. The migration estimator gives you a duration from the number of mailboxes and gigabytes. You keep working in the old system while the copy runs.
Who answers when I have a problem?
A person at TSI, in French or English. We usually answer within one business day.
Who is behind TSI
My name is Julien Tremblay and I founded TSI in Repentigny. Too many businesses and organizations here hand their email, files and conversations to American platforms without really knowing where it all lives or who can get to it.
With TSI Souverain you keep modern tools, but your data stays in Quebec, on free software nobody can take away from you. When you write to TSI, I am the one who answers.

What It Is
Service Organization Control 2, Type II audit covering security, availability, and confidentiality over a sustained observation period (typically 6–12 months).
Why It Matters
Enterprise clients in finance, healthcare, and SaaS require this to allow third-party integrations to touch their systems. It demonstrates that TSI's controls are not just designed, they operate consistently.

ISO 27001
What It Is
International standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). Covers risk management, access control, incident response, and continuous improvement.
Why It Matters
Required by many European and enterprise clients. Signals a systematic, documented approach to security governance, not just ad hoc practices.
Current Status
On the compliance roadmap. ISMS documentation framework in development.
GDPR
What It Is
General Data Protection Regulation (EU). Governs how personal data of EU residents is collected, processed, and stored, regardless of where the processor is based.
Why It Matters
Any client with EU customers or employees requires GDPR-compliant handling. TSI's data architecture is designed for regional data residency and minimal collection.
Current Status
Operationally aligned. Formal DPA templates in use. Annual review process being formalized.
PIPEDA
What It Is
Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, Canada's federal private-sector privacy law. Governs how businesses collect, use, and disclose personal information.
Why It Matters
Mandatory for all Canadian federal commercial activity. TSI contracts under Canadian law and maintains PIPEDA-aligned data handling for all client engagements.
Current Status
Operationally compliant. Bilingual privacy policy in effect. Applicable to all TSI engagements.
